Take a Virtual Tour
Welcome to Heartland Christian School!

We are currently open for in-person classes, and we hope you will be able to visit us soon, but in the meantime, you can take a virtual tour.  Our main entrance is by the northeast parking lot.  This lot is usually reserved for faculty, staff, and students who drive themselves.  this is also where parents park when they are dropping off or picking up their students between 8:15am and 3:15pm or if they need to visit the business office.

Heartland Christian School is owned, operated, and governed by Heartland Family Ministries: First Baptist Church of Belton, therefore the sanctuary is an important part of our campus.  It is to the left of the main entrance.
This is where we hold our weekly chapel and important school-wide meetings such as Back to School Night and the Christmas and Spring Concerts.  During the spring, the stage is transformed for the school play.
The main Hallway branches off to the left of the foyer from the main entrance.  This is where  you will find the main office, the business office, and some of the primary classrooms for students in the upper grades.

The second entrance is located off of the southeast parking lot.  This is where parents drop their students off between 8:00 and 8:15am and pick them up after 3:15pm when school gets out.
The library is available for students in all grades.
7th-12th grade students are assigned lockers where they can store their possessions securely between classes.
Both buildings are fully accessible to those who have mobility concerns.

Many church and school activities involve our gym.  The elementary classrooms circle it on the upper and lower tracks.  It is a place to play during indoor recess and for more formal sports such as volleyball and basketball.  It is the site for our annual benefit auction and the church’s Thanksgiving banquet, which school families are welcome to join.

While the original portions of our buildings, with the sanctuary and the offices, were built to house the church in 1969, the gym and the classrooms, cafeteria, and kitchen connected to it were built specifically with the school in mind in 1984.

After some water damage in 2017, the gym floor was completely resurfaced and rechristened the Pastor David Baker Court.  Pastor led the church to found this school in 1984, he helped build the gym, and he served as a coach here for many years.

Most of the original floor was repurposed, but some parts were preserved intact – such as the painting of our mascot in front of the home bench, which was a gift of the Class of 1992.  This piece can now be viewed in the vestibule of the main gym entrance.

August 2020 marked Pastor’s 39th year of service to the First Baptist Church of Belton, and Heartland Christian School began it’s 37th year of operation. Through these two ministries alone, more than 6,000 people have accepted Christ, and Pastor was able to lead well over 2,000 in believer’s baptism.  Sunday evening, Nov. 29, 2020, Pastor David L. Baker went on to be with the Lord.  While this is cause for much rejoicing in Heaven, he will be deeply missed here.

Behind our school’s southwest parking lot, you will find the Bill Harmon Field, which was commissioned for our soccer team and dedicated during the 2001-2002 school year.

In the northwest corner of our parking lot, you will find our playground and Gaga Ball pit.
